Transmanche Ferries , which was set up by the local syndicate in Dieppe, to maintain the Newhaven-Dieppe service, has announced that it is taking reservations for 2011. Special prices are available for those who book early.

This service was previousy operated by LD Lines , who have  also terminated the Dover-Boulogne ferries.LD will continue to operate the Le Havre–Portsmouth crossing.LD and Transmanche are separate but sister companies and during 2010 the Newhaven-Dieppe service was operated by LD Lines

The Newhaven-Dieppe crossing takes about four hours  but  lands direct in Upper Normandy and saves the drive down to Dover or Folkestone and the futher two hour drive from Calais to Normandy.The service will be twice daily and throughout the year.
