Widespread disruption is expected tomorrow in public sector services involving transport, education and communications. If you are travelling you should check SNCF train times and also Brittany Ferries sailings which could be affected.

In Normandy, Rouen will host a substantial demonstration and you are advised not to attempt to travel to Rouen by car between 10am and 2pm.Paris Normandie newspaper advisers its readers to stick to walking in central Rouen anyway. The Rouen bus service will also be on strike.

Airlines will also be affected and flight services must be checked with the operator. At least 25% of flights are expected to be cancelled at Charles de Gaulle airport and at Roissy.

Some Paris metro lines will also suffer cancellations.
