Because of strike action at the port of Caen-Oustriham on 30^th August, the port is closed all day It is not known how long the strike will continue.  Port workers have staged a walk-out.

Accordingly, Brittany Ferries has announced that for its Caen-Porstsmouth service will be switched to Le Havre in Seine-Maritime.  This will inevitably mean changes to sailing times and passengers affected should contact Brittany Ferries on 0871 244 0744 in UK and 02 33 88 44 33 in France.  Brittany Ferries has also said that it will be trying to contact passengers who have booked the Caen crossing.
