The important port and town of Dieppe in Seine-Maritime , Upper Normandy is investing over 7 million Euros to obtain the Pavillon Bleu label for the town. This highly sought after designation is obtained for the quality of the town's reception for visitors, its cleanliness and measures taken to ensure respect for the environment.
The port itself will be further improved and work on this is already under way..The pleasure port already has 540 mooring points in the three docks,Ango,Duquesne and Paris. A dry-dock is now in course of construction and a further 340 mooring points will be added here. It is expected to be ready by Spring 2011.
The town of Dieppe, with its port, fish-market, many restaurants,race- course and other attractions is already a place which is well-worth a visit in Upper Normandy; the Pavillon Bleu label for the pleasure port can only enhance its attraction for visitors and tourists to Normandy.
