Deauville airport has now fully reopened for business after three months of improvement works. The airport offers flights to 26 destinations in 17 countries.

Airport director, Desmond O'Flynn has set his sights on Deauville becoming the a key hub with regular flights to the UK and the rest of Europe. His plan is to increase annual passenger numbers from 25,000 five years ago to 300,000 by 2013. 

There are currently 13 tour operators using the airport offering a total of 490 charter flights throughout the year.

2010 also sees the opening of two new destinations, La Cap Vert and Ireland.
