Rhino Born at Cerza Safari Park in Normandy

Description:

A baby rhino has been born at the Cerza Safari Park, Lisieux, in Calvados, Lower Normandy. The birth of Manas took place on 1 February 2010.  This is the first baby Indian Rhinoceros to be born in France.

This success is significant for Cerza as only one to three Indian Rhinos are born each year in captivity in Europe.  It is also a success for the future of this emblematic and endangered species.
