Art Gallery housing paintings by several significant artists over the period 15th to 19th century. One section is devoted to Cherbourg and its relationship with the sea.

Description:

The Thomas Henry Museum of Beaux Arts in Cherbourg , Lower Normandy , is one of the most important in Normandy. There are some 300 paintings and sculptures and they include significant works by Fra Angelico,Chardin, Poussin,David, Millet and Camille Claudel.There is a collection of paintings by Jean-Francois Millet who was a native of the Manche region.

Limited opening low season 1 October -30 April otherwise open every day 10am-12 and 1400h to 1800h except Monday and Sunday mornings.
