IntroductionSées is a small historic town in Orne, Lower Normandy which lies in the shadows of a magnificent the gothic cathedral. Its two spires can be seen from 10 kilometres around. The town's Annual Turkey Fair in mid December, draws visitors from across the region.
Geography
Sées is in Orne Lower Normandy on the eastern edge of the Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park. It lies on the river Orne, 5 km from its source, and 20 km north east of Alençon. The town's location on the A28 motorway makes it an excellent base for discovering the area.

The town's economy depends to a large extent on tourism and agriculture.

The town has a good range of shops and banks.
Tourism
The town's gothic cathedral with its two 70 metre-high spires is not to be missed. The building dates from the 13th century.
Worth a Visit
The Museum of Religious Art: The museum houses many works of religious art: paintings, sculpture, works in gold, furniture and other religious items dating from the middle ages to modern times.
The Abbaye St Martin: The Abbaye was pillaged and then reconstructed in the 18th century.
Sporting & other Activities
Given the town's position on the edge of the Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park, there are numerous countryside activities nearby: walking, riding and fishing to name but a few.
