What we offer

Our aim is to provide QUALITY products coupled with quality workmanship! We also provide timber and a timber cutting service direct to both DIY customers and tradesmen.

Buying at trade cost means I can provide and install bespoke timber products at competitive prices which can be made, to complement individual tastes and properties. Essential considering the diversity of country cottages, farmhouses & manoirs here in France.

We also offer traditional carpentry/joinery skills associated with home renewals, repairs and maintenance.

The range of products I can produce and install is wide and includes:

     - conservatories

     - kitchens

     - staircases

     - windows

     - oak flooring

     - doors

     - door casings

     - plastering

I can also supply specialist hand made timber products not readily available on the French market, for instance sculptured architrave and skirting boards.

Although PVC products are fast becoming popular here in France, it’s people buying traditional properties who are still looking for craftsmen like myself to carry out work relating to keeping the properties they purchase in the style that they were built.

Remember! A product is only ever as good as the way it is fitted!! An experierenced joiner can extend the life of the products he installs considerably, so why waste your hard earned money buying a top of the range kitchen fitted by a car mechanic? or a made to measure conservatory installed by a baker!

I take great pride in the work I produce, and I am conscientious regarding not only my own skills as a joiner/carpenter, but also in choosing the timber and materials I work with, this is to ensure that I provide not only quality workmanship but also quality merchandise which together provide an unbeatable service to the public.

In the UK I was a member of Network VEKA, a company set up to monitor installers of uPVC products and record customer satisfaction on the work i have undertaken. In the 10 years that I was a member, I was one of the few exalted members who scored a consistant 100% customer satisfaction record.

I want people to recognize my name and associate my work and the services I provide as: Affordable without compromising quality and friendly without compromising professionalism.

Whilst my business is aimed primarily at the house owner, I also intend to supply tradesmen unable to offer the same products I can manufacture. The joinery/carpentry industry is one that’s been around for hundreds of years and will continue to be so.

In France there are many properties falling into disrepair that without the skills of qualified and experienced craftsmen would quickly fall into decline and ruin. Whilst the industry is changing all the time with new timber replacement products, there will always be a requirement for the expertise of the traditional craftsmen using traditional products and methods.

We are situated on the route D32 between Mortain and Le Teilleul, approx half way between the villages of St Jean du Corail and Husson.

About me

I left school in 1976 and went to work as an apprenticed joiner, whilst serving my time I obtained City & Guilds certificates in Carpentry and Joinery. I became self employed shortly after and for 25 years have run a successful joinery business, for the past 15 years specializing mainly in the installation of bespoke conservatories.

My business strengths lie in 32 years of experience and expertise in the joinery and building trade, and in the quality of the workmanship and service I provide.

Having set up a custom built joinery workshop in the grounds of my home in Normandy means, No added overhead costs added onto the job when pricing, it also means customers are free to call and discuss their requirements knowing someone will be there to help at all times.
