The Lion d'Or is a traditional hotel in central Bayeux, Calvados, Lower Normandy and is close to the main tourist attractions of Bayeux and the town's famous Tapestry.
There are 28 comfortable rooms and a restaurant with menus from 28 to 48€ and from 10€ for children. These concentrate on fresh regional produce including fish. There is also an à la carte menu. The cuisine is regional French and the seasonal menu could include such dishes as, pumpkin soup, monk fish with smoked bacon and veal with chanterelle mushrooms.
